Thorsten Lipfert

A strong believer in promoting a healthier and more mindful life filled well-being and a deep passion about the international hospitality industry. After spending the first part of his +20 years career in the health and wellness industry, owning and managing Spa´s and wellness clubs worldwide, he realized the need for hotels to have competent managers with vast knowledge about the spa and wellness sector as well as a strong business acumen. His aim is to provide an excellent service with “Wow” effect for their well-traveled clientele and to guarantee its investors a healthy return of invest.

Working as a global Spa Director for luxury brands such as Kempinski, Fairmont as well as Spa brands such as ESPA plus having managed several openings, he continues his ambition and dedication to support spa managers, hoteliers and investors to thrive with their wellness projects.

His background as a licensed Physiotherapist and Personal Trainer with international expertise gives him the necessary competence and experience to successfully educate and train therapists with multicultural backgrounds around the globe.     

As a constant learner, his business acumen is underlined from the University of California (Irvine) with a Hospitality Management degree and a Master of Business Essentials from the Harvard Business School.

I have known Thorsten Lipfert in the position of an external consultant for our in-house Spa for several months. He has helped with the opening of the Spa at Sir Nikolai hotel. Thorsten has been a great asset during the entire process. He wrote the Spa menu and showed great knowledge in budgeting, P&L, SOPs, customer journey as well the necessary equipment for a high-end Spa. He provided all massage training himself and assisted in recruiting the necessary Spa therapists. During our opening, he executed all massages for the visiting guests and thus he was able to leave lasting impressions with journalists and influencers. Sir Nikolai had a great event due to him.

Thorsten joined me as support trainer in the initial phase of the re-launch of Preidlhof. As I asked him, he provided a full refresh-training in international service standards, he designed a beautiful signature massage and reinforced the training of an existing session: his help has been extremely useful.
